Practice fit

Who this pack is for

Adults and older learners who recognize English letters and want to refresh their cursive shapes. Start with a letter that becomes unclear in your own writing, then work toward joins and words.

Scope boundary

When to choose another pack

For a first lesson in forming a letter, choose instruction with stroke demonstrations. This pack provides font models to copy; it includes no stroke arrows or numbered formation steps.

Inside the PDF

Uppercase and lowercase cursive worksheets

The PDF follows alphabetical order, with the same practice layout for every letter. Here is what each page provides.

Both cases on one page

Compare the capital and small form together: Aa on page 1, Bb on page 2, through Zz on page 26. The pack covers 52 letter forms across 26 pages.

Solid models and copy rows

Repeated Prima Cursive models alternate with blank rows for your own writing. Use the model as a reference, then cover it for a separate attempt.

Four-line writing guides

A Standard 0.50-inch ruled layout gives a consistent reference for letter height and baseline placement. Title, Name, and Date fields appear on the first page.

How to practise with the pack

  1. 01

Choose one letter pair. Look at how the uppercase and lowercase forms sit between the guides, then copy a few pairs onto the blank row below.

  2. 02

Cover the model with another sheet and write the same pair on a remaining blank row. Uncover it and compare your attempt with the reference.

  3. 03

Pick one difference to work on, such as a closed loop or a drifting baseline. Repeat a short row at a comfortable pace; pause if your hand feels uncomfortable.

  4. 04

If both letters stay recognizable without the model, try a short join in the Cursive Connections Pack. Otherwise, return to the same letter. Keep a dated sample for your next comparison.

Self-check after one short session

  • Letter identity: can you recognize both forms in the covered-model attempt?
  • Open spaces: do loops and counters stay clear rather than closing into a different shape?
  • Height and baseline: do tall strokes, the main letter body, and descenders keep their relative positions?

Common mistakes to avoid

  1. 01

Rushing through the entire alphabet without checking which letter actually needs practice.

  2. 02

Adding decorative loops or forcing joins before the individual shapes are clear.

  3. 03

Changing font, pen, or paper between samples, making it harder to compare the same target.

Questions about this pack

Can I print just one cursive letter?

Yes. Download the complete PDF, then select a page number in your print dialog. For example, Gg is page 7 and Zz is page 26. Both cases of that letter are on the same page; no separate letter downloads are needed.

Are these cursive tracing or copy worksheets?

They are copy worksheets: solid letter models alternate with blank rows. If you want dotted models or full tracing rows, open the Alphabet generator and choose the Text Style and Practice Mode that match your task.

Does this teach cursive stroke order?

No. The Prima Cursive models show the finished letter shapes, without stroke arrows or numbered steps. Use them for review and copying after you can identify the letters; use separate formation instruction if you need help starting a stroke.

Is there a US Letter version?

This download is A4 only. To make a US Letter worksheet, open the Alphabet generator and choose US Letter under Paper Size. Resizing the A4 PDF changes the physical line height, so use a worksheet made for your paper size when comparing samples.

Download and print the complete pack

Open the PDF and select the letter pages you need in the print dialog. Use A4 paper, portrait orientation, and Actual Size or 100% scale to preserve the line height. Preview the selected pages before printing.
